October

October,

October was a busy month for us.

Justin went to the eye doctor and his one eye is not as good as the other so he suggested glasses. He is having a hard time getting used to them so does not like them too much. We had our first cousin sleepover here and the boys LOVE IT!!!! They are both doing well in school and we have parent teacher conferences next month so hope all is well.

This year we went to a Pumpkin Patch to get pumpkins - my garden did not produce any. The kids had a great time trying to fin the biggest pumpkins.

We went to my parents ward for a Trunk or Treat party and it was fun for them to see some of their friends that they do not get to see every often.

Halloween what can I say - Mark's favorite time of year. It did rain so we were not able to put out all the stuff that we would have like to but we still had a great time with it. Mark was a skeleton pirate, me a Dr., Jarod a pirate and Justin was a monster/goblin. I have taken down all the decorations and now we are getting ready for November.

September

September,

This month we spend time as a family. Trying to clean up the yard and get ready for fall. Love this time of year.

We went to St George with my family over the Labor Day weekend and stayed in the same house as we did in May - my sister's bosses house. Love it and had a great time. We went to the movies, shopping and did some hikes. It is always nice to get away for a few days. It was really hot down there so we spent most of our time in the house or shopping. I was able to get some Christmas shopping done so that is always nice.

Kids are still doing great in school and we love to spend time with them. They are still in piano and doing well with that also.

Mark is doing well, no hospital visits this year so he has been blessed with that.

I am still working full time from home - that is such a blessing to me. I love being home.

August

August,

Mark and I celebrated our birthdays this month, I am 40 and he is 38. WOW. All last year I told everyone that Mark was throwing me a surprise 40th birthday party. LOL I told him not to worry about doing anything cause this was just another birthday to me. Not a big deal.

Jarod has been struggling in school this year - 5th grade. So we are really working on helping him through this time. WE LOVE HIM and he will make it through this time.

Justin is now in 2nd grade and doing awesome. His is really learning and picking up his school work fast. WE LOVE HIM also.

Sad to see the summer end but we have had a great time as a family.

June

SUMMER IS HERE!!!!

Kids are still in school and our pool is now open!!!! We are trying to go as often as possible.

This year for Cub Scout Camp for Jarod - Webelos - I took Friday the 18th off and I drove up the boys and meet up with their den mother. We had soooo much fun. It was my first time. We had 5 boys and the group of boys we ended up with were soooo obnoxious and disrespectful and our boys we so good. By the end of the day one of the boys came up to me and said he was getting irritated by them.

Not much happened this month to us but for us that is good new.

May

Well May we had good news and bad news....

The bad news is we did not go to LaJolla this year :( due to a money situation. The paint, the floors and baseboards. I am sad we did not go but I have to say I LOVE MY FLOORS!!!!

The good news is we did get to go down to St George with my family. My sisters boss has a house down there that we stayed in. They had a little putting green, trampoline and a slide in the backyard. So the kids had a ton of fun playing. They did have a community pool it was not the ocean but it was still a blast. They had a place called Pirate Island that we went to, it is a Chuck E Cheese but with better food. LOL. I have been wanting to get family pictures done and while we were there we were able to get some good pictures. I will post some.

Kids are finishing up school and Mark is hanging in there, me hmmmm same ol same ol.

April

April

Well we finished up our floors and now we starting on the baseboards.

It took a couple of weeks but they baseboards are done!!!! YEAH

We still need to get the hall closet doors back up - we have to do some adjusting. Mark has being doing a 6 week Flolan increase to help him to get feeling better. So he has not had the energy to work on this. He is doing O.K. with his back not back to 100% and the increase we have not yet been able to get this project done. But hey we are close.

March

March

Jarod turned 10!!! How time flies. My baby is growing up. We had the grandparents and of course favorite Aunt Sheri over for cake and ice cream. Fun times.

While everyone was here they all helped me take furniture out to get ready for our painter Tony to come and paint. YEAH!!! After 11 years we are FINALLY painting. We are painting the front living room, hallway, kitchen, dinning area and family room. We painted the ceilings white, the walls a silver and 3 accent walls a dark green. It turned out wonderful. I LOVE IT!!!

On Friday March 5th we went bowling with some friends and on our second round Mark went to take his shot and tweaked his back. The funny thing is that shot he got a strike - it was his only strike in the 2 games. After the game we took him to the Insta Care and they said he should be fine but if it still hurts to go and see a back Dr. A couple weeks later Mark decided to go to a back Dr. and they said he did not hurt anything bad but to do some therapy. Mark started therapy 2 times a week for about 3 weeks. He went and saw one of Brian's aide.

On Friday the 26th me, Mark, my dad and Darin started to install our new laminate flooring. Brazilian Cherry. It took most of the night Friday, all day Saturday and then we finished up the following Saturday.

We only have the baseboards left to do. We decided to replace them all. Lots of work but well worth it.

About 11:30 we decided to watch one of the countdown shows - well we all made it to the New Year but not for long shortly after midnight we all went to bed. LOL LOL

I hope this year will be a good one for all of us.

Christmas

Christmas was a great!!!

In the morning we got up and opened presents then went to Marks family and we were able to talk to Steven (on his mission in North Carolina). Spent some time with my family then came home and the kids were able to play with their toys. Mark, Jarod and Justin all got new nerf guns and they had a nerf gun battle throughout the house. It was nice to spend time with family. We are so grateful for this time of year and for us to be able to reflect on how the Lord has blessed us this past year. Hopefully the next year will just as great!!! LOVE YA

WDW

WDW - WHAT FUN!!!!!

We left for WDW on Thursday Dec 3rd with me, Jarod, Justin, my mom, dad and sister. We stayed the first 2 nights at the Caribbean Beach then moved over to the Boardwalk when my 2 cousins and the ones family. Justin had his 7th birthday on Friday and was able to get a $67.00 gift card from Disney for his birthday gift. What a good birthday!!! It was not too cold or too warm it was in the 70's so not too bad, it did rain on the Friday we got there and the Friday before we left. Of course we hit all the fast rides - Jarod love them!!! That is good cause I do to. Jarod wanted to try Mission Space this year since he has not done it before - they have 2 sides a mellow side and a fast side well to start out we did the mellow side then later he wanted to try the fast side so just he and I went on it - well there is 4 to a side and the car is VERY VERY tight well it took a little bit to get the ride started and I almost started to have a panic attack cause like I said it is very tight. Jarod loved it. Overall it was a FABULOUS trip. Had good food, good rides, good rides and good company. Hopefully we can go again next year. LOVE YA

THANKSGIVING

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!

On Thanksgiving morning when we woke up Mark was not feeling well so we decided not to go to Thanksgiving with Marks family. He did not feel well to make the drive to Duchesne. My family was having a lunch but my sister had come down with Shingles and we did not want Mark around just in case she was contagious. So we ended up staying home. I have to say it was REALLY nice to just be with just us. We did miss family. Since we were not planning on being home we did not have anything prepared for lunch or dinner so we just made corndogs, fish sticks and taquitos, it was a good lunch. LOL. I posted this on Facebook and some nice people in our neighborhood read it and decided to bring us some of there Thanksgiving meal. It was really good and we were thankful for it. We are truly blessed for great family and friends. LOVE YA

Halloween

This month we have had some fun with Halloween.

We had a party with some friends and had a great time. We all dressed up and had yummy soup and bread sticks and played games. We have great friends!!!

It was nice on the 30th I took the day off to go and see the kids parade at school. The kids went dressed in their Jiujitsu outfits (Gee / Gii ????) then went and did some Christmas shopping - YEAH almost done.

On Halloween we decorated outside to get ready for that night. We all dressed up - Mark was a wolf, I was a pirate and the boys were zombies.

Mark loves to try and scare the kids (only the older ones - he is not allowed to scare the younger ones). This year we have some chains that we put on each side of the swing and made loops in them for his hands and he would sit on the swing with his hands in the chains so he could only go so far. When the kids came up he would shake the chains, growl at them or jump up at them and since he could only go so far the chains would rattle. MAN IT WAS FUNNY!!!! It was fun to hear some of the things the kids would say - we heard one kid across the street say "we are going over to that house". LOL. We of course had the strobe light and fog machine going.

One set of kids came up and said look it is Jacob (from Twilight/New Moon) of course I had to explain to Mark what they meant since he is not a fan. We had some friends come over dressed as a dead bride and groom and I told them the story and said they could be Bella and Edward LOL LOL LOL. That is who is in the pictures with Mark.

I am glad Mark has such a great time at Halloween - he was tired that day so he did not go trick or treating with us so he could save his energy for scaring the kids. It is a great way to start off the Holiday Season.

Update

Not too much is going on to post about but with us I guess that is a good thing. Things have been going well around here since we got Mark out of the Hospital. He is doing good, he still has his good and bad days. He has had a hard time this time getting his energy back.

The kids have been off track all month and I think they are ready to go back to school. I am glad they have had the month off since we started Soccer it has been easier not to have to worry about doing homework while trying to get them to 2 games a week each and practices. They love soccer and I really enjoy going and watching them play.

Justin this month has lost 2 teeth and Jarod has lost 1 so they love to have Tooth Fairy come.

I am sad to have had to say goodbye to the pool but I do love the Fall it is my favorite! Although it is almost time to give up my capri's and sandals - I will wear them as long as I possibly can.

I have decorated for Halloween already and this is one of Mark's favorite Holidays. This is a fun time for us. So if I don't post again until after Halloween I will post some of our pictures. I can't say what Mark is going to be this year cause he dose not want me to tell - he his funny that way. But it is fun to hear him tell me all the ideas he has, that is for decorating the outside of the house and different ways he want to scare the older kids, he is not allowed to scare the little ones. FUN FUN FUN.

Have a good one!!

Again???

Well September has started off a little rough for us. On Wednesday Sept 2nd I went into the office to work and Mark calls me in the morning when he gets up and said he did not feel well, I did not think much of it since he dose not feel well most days, then around noon he called and said his stomach was upset. The kicker was when he called me around 3 and said his heart rate was jumping between 120 and 140 so I told him to call his nurse and let her know what was going on and I told him I was on my way home from work to take him to the Hospital. On the way home I decided I better call him and make sure he was O.K. and I had him stay on the phone with me until I got home just in case anything happened. Got home and got the kids and Mark and headed for the E.R. My parents came and meet us at the E.R and got the kids (they had a soccer clinic that night that they wanted to go to). We got to the E.R. at about 4:45 and surprisingly they took him right back. Of course they did every test they could and one test did show that his white blood count was high so we knew he would end up in the RICU to be observed. Well we were right they got us up to the RICU at about 7:45 so only 3 hrs in the E.R. not bad. Mark wanted me to stay the night with him and I wanted to but I knew if I did not go home and be with the kids they would freak out so I left Mark hoping I would not get a call in the middle of the night. When I got home the kids wanted to sleep with me and under the circumstances I let them so needless to say between my fears and two kids in bed with me I did not get much sleep. When I got back to the Hospital on Thursday Mark said that night they started and IV Antibiotic then ran some more blood tests and they showed that and his white blood count had dropped. Spent the day with him then I had to get back home and get the kids from school and do homework and we were on our way back to the Hospital to get their dad and bring him home, at least that is what we thought. HAHA they ended up having Mark stay one more night to finish off the last of the IV Antibiotics (there were 3 bags). Friday the 4th Mark called me and said COME AND GET ME!!! they were letting him come home. YEAH. They did want to monitor him to see if this would happen again so they sent him home with a King of Hearts monitor which he needs to wear for 2 weeks. The Dr.'s do not know what caused this or what even happened. O.K. can we say FLUKE FAMILY!!!

I want to thank everyone for their concerns, love and prayers. WE LOVE YOU!!

August

Well it has been about a month since I posted last and not much has happened and I guess that is a good thing.

The kids are back in school and doing well. Mark's health is stable - he has his good days and his bad. I am doing O.K. my work has taken away all overtime so I have been able to spend more time with the family this month so that has been a good thing.

Mark and I had our Birthdays this month and we saved some money and with our Birthday money we were able to buy us a grinder - YEAH!!! We have been making our own bread the last few months. I know can you believe it US!!! It will be fun to start using it.

All is well and I will post again soon.

Right Heart Cath / Radio

Well Mark had his Right Heart Cath done on Friday July 10th and all went well.

We went to the Hospital (IMC) at 8:00 and his procedure was supposed to be at 9:30 but they did not take him back until 10:45 (a little late). This time Mark was a little nervous so that made me a little nervous cause when he was first diagnosed they said if he did not seek treatment he only had about a 1 1/2 yrs and at about that time he ended up calling 911. Well they also said when he was first diagnosed that they gave him 3-5 yrs, well this June he hit is 5 yrs so we were hoping nothing major happened. When they took him back about 15 min later I hear over the sound system CODE BLUE/RED - it made my heart stop for just a min then I just had to tell myself it was not for Mark. Our room was just outside the nurses station so every time someone walked by I was hoping it was Mark. About 45 min later the Dr. came in and said all was fine. YEAH!!!!!!! With Mark having such a low blood clotting factor he needed to stay flat for about 3 hrs. They walked him, gave him lunch, walked him some more and no extra bleeding or oozing so they let us go. The funny thing is on the way home we were listening to 1079.5 the Mix and they said be caller 10 and you can win a movie so I asked Mark if he wanted me to call and he said yes - so a few trys later it rang and they said caller 5 try again so I did well it rang again and they said I was caller 10 and I won the movies "Push" and "Knowing" LOL I never win anything and this past year I have won 3 times on the Radio. LOL I guess the Lord loves me.
